. 2010 Community Expo
Booth space for the 2010 Community Expo is now available. This year’s Expo is being held May 1, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company’s Activities Grounds. To download a copy of the 2010 Expo Application visit http://mtairybusiness.com/index.php/events/expo.

. Phone Book Advertising
It’s not too late to advertise in the Mt. Airy Phone Book. Advertising sales are in full swing. Alyson Rothberg will be present at the business card exchange and general membership meeting in January to answer questions and take applications for listings in the Orange Pages.

The white pages contain residential and community listings for Mt. Airy. They are manually produced. We don’t buy lists because they aren’t accurate and they are very costly. Instead we make over 500 phone calls to duplicate entries (names/addresses/numbers) each yea and we also depend on the public to help us by notifying us of changes. With the residents’ permission, this also allows us to have the only phone book that we know of that publishes cell phone numbers, more than one name with a phone number, and list an address as Mt. airy. So if your listing has changed or you know of a listing that has changed, and this includes civic organizations, houses of worship, etc., please let us know.
