Chamber Donations During the month of December, the Mt. Airy Chamber donated $1,000 each to The Jeremy Foundation and Mt. Airy Net.
The Jeremy Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit foundation committed to providing financial assistance to families in need. They are funded solely through fundraisers and corporate and personal donations. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the family becomes focused on the medical issues. Each donation received is used to support the work of the foundation -- helping sick children and their families.
Mt. Airy Net's purpose is to provide emergency assistance for needy persons in the four-county Mt. Airy area. Emergency assistance is available in the following areas: fuel/electricity, pharmaceutical, food, clothing, shelter (limited), and other appropriate needs.
Professional Development Immediately following the January 8 general membership meeting at 8:45, and running until 10 a.m., Todd Burrier will speak on how to handle a business card exchange or networking event to your best advantage. Learn how to introduce yourself and your company to maximize your business exposure to potential clients or other business leads.
