New Chamber website

Have you been receiving all of the emails from us? Is your business listed on our website? If you haven’t registered, then the answer is “No!” Please take a few minutes and follow these directions. The chamber will stop using the Yahoo Groups service on October 15, 2009 in lieu of the email list generated by our website registration.

1. Go to our homepage www.mtairybusiness.com. On the left side of the homepage, you will see member login and the option to create an account. Select create account and follow the steps. Please double check your email address and hit register.

2. Once submitted, you will receive an email that requires you to verify the email address you supplied by clicking a link in the email. If you did not receive an email within a few minutes of your submission, check your spam folder and/or make sure that @mtairybusiness.com is in your allowed list.

3. Once you click the link in step #2, we will confirm your 2009 membership and approve your account. This step may take several hours.

4. After you receive your approval email, you can login to the site and will be able to view the minutes, download our logos for use, and most importantly create your business profile.

5. Once logged in, you will see the “user menu” on the top left of the homepage.

6. Select “Your Business Profile” and then “add entry”. Please enter as much information as possible so you can take advantage of this feature.

7. Your entry will then be approved and published to the website. This step is not immediate but you will receive an email once your business entry is approved.

Need Help Getting Your Business Profile Online?

Arthur Graphics is having a Grand Opening of their new location at 8425 Progress Drive, Suite AA, Frederick, MD 21701 on Monday September 21, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11:30 a.m. and they will have demonstrations throughout the day on photography, video, Apple computers, web design, search engine optimization and Adobe design software. They will also be providing a free photo head shot for Chamber members to update their business cards or websites. There will be a station for GMACC members to ask questions and receive assistance on their web profile and registration. Pastimes Cafe will be catering the event. Membership Drive

The Chamber’s 7th Annual Membership Drive will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Century Ford on Century Drive. When you renew your membership at this event you will receive discounted dues for 2010 and discounted opportunities to sign up for the 2010 Mt. Airy Phone Book and Community Expo. This is one event you don’t want to miss so mark your calendars now!

2010 Planning Meeting

The 2010 Planning Meeting is scheduled for October 29, 2010 at Lorien, Mt. Airy from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and lunch is provided. Everyone
