A MAIN STREET CHRISTMAS & PARADE

This spectacular community event will take place from 3-8pm on Saturday December 4th.

There will be games for kids, concerts and carol singing, a tree lighting, and Santa’s Parade at 5.30pm.

Just about every local and civic group is taking part or contributing time, money and resources.

The Chamber’s Ellie Bonde of The Blossom & Basket Boutique and Jackie Bingham of Patches Quilting & Sewing were a driving force behind this event, representing The Downtown Business Association.

The Chamber was proud to do its part by allocating $613.28 to place half-page ads promoting the event in The Messenger and The Gazette.

The Chamber and The Gazette are also running another Santa Coloring Competition. Thank you to Gazette editor Carol Blackburn for her great support of both initiatives.

Also on Saturday December 4, from 10 am to 3pm, Weekenders fashion coordinator Donnis Klein is holding an open house - with holiday gift ideas and more. You can contact Donnis at (301) 829-2928. She invites everyone to stop by before heading into town to see Santa!
