We had 32 local businesses exhibiting and over 250 people in attendance. Net income from the event is in the region of $1,600 – with $160 coming from the public entrance fee. Door prizes donated by 40 members and four non-members totaled more than $1,800 in value – including the 27" Flat-Screen TV that was won by Downtown Business Assoc member Richard Schultz. Visitors to the Fair included State Senator David Brinkley, Frederick County Commissioner John R. Lovell, Jr, Carroll County Chamber President Bonnie Grady, the Mt Airy Mayor and Town Council, plus representatives from Gov. Ehrlich’s office and Congressman Bartlett’s office.
