The third annual "Discover Mount Airy" Business Fair will be held at the Fireman’s Activities Grounds, Twin Arch Road, on Saturday April 29th from 11am to 4pm.

More than 50 local businesses are expected to be a part of the event – which is organized each year by the Greater Mt Airy Chamber of Commerce. The fair is a fun and informative event for the whole family with displays, giveaways, prizes and a great lineup of kids’ activities.

Highlights include a grand door prize of a $1,500 stainless steel grill, from Costco Wholesale. Visitors will also be encouraged to donate money to the MAYAA fields fund – with the Business Fair doubling the amount raised on the day, to a maximum of $5,000 – the exact amount MAYAA needs for their 2006 season.

Businesses attending the Fair will have displays throughout the activities building, in a large tent to be set up outside the building, and in the front parking lot. Along with door prizes to be given away throughout the day, visitors can also expect plenty of giveaways from the exhibitors.

Activities scheduled for the day include Moonbounces and Games, a Vintage Fire Truck Display and Face Painting all day; performances by the Merritt Dance Company, the Mount Airy Performing Arts Center Chrysalis Dance Team, the Savage Dance Studio and Skyview Gymnastics; plus demonstrations by the State Police K9 Dog Team and Choe’s HapKiDo Karate. (See inside for scheduled times). Food will also be available throughout the day, including a full BBQ from Convenience Catering and a Girl Scouts bake sale.

The Greater Mt Airy Chamber of Commerce "Discover Mount Airy" Business Fair will be held Saturday April 29, from 11am to 4pm, rain or shine, at the Fireman’s Activities Grounds on the corner of Twin Arch Road and Route 27. Free admission and free parking.
