JANUARY MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Our monthly membership meeting will be held on Thursday, January 3rd at 8am at the Mount Airy Fire Hall (corner of Watersville Road and Main Street; park at the rear/lower level and enter through the back doors).

We will have our usual hour of introductions, committee reports, and discussions of new and old business.

Every month members also get to see all the advertising, newspaper coverage and correspondence for the past month.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

A new member orientation will be held immediately following the January 3rd monthly membership meeting.

THE 2008 PHONE BOOK

The 2008 Phone Book will be published next spring and mailed to over 26,000 local households.

The deadline for Orange Pages applications is Friday January 18th.

2008 COMMUNITY EXPO

The 2008 Community Expo will be held Saturday, April 19th from 9 am - 4 pm at the Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Company’s Activities Grounds.

The 2008 Community Expo is going to be bigger and better than ever! Not only will there be more promotion of the event with radio commercials and a live remote broadcast from Key 103, but families will enjoy a magic show; face painting and balloon sculpting; a free moon bounce; and visits from Elmo, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Mickey Mouse. Other highlights include the Patriot Guard Riders on Motorcycle; crab racing; dance and karate performances by local studios; free blood pressure screenings; the bloodmobile onsite; and a scheduled appearance by the MedEvac helicopter. Everyone will enjoy mouth watering foods by Convenience Catering.
