For those who have't already done so, you can renew your GMACC membership for 2009, purchase advertising in the Mt. Airy Phone Book and buy your vendor space at the 2009 Community Expo at any of our Business Meetings or Networking Events through the end of January.

Monthly Membership Meeting

Our monthly membership meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4 at 8:00 a.m. at the Mt. Airy Fire Hall on Watersville Road. We will have our usual hour of introductions, committee reports, and discussions of new and old business. All Chamber members are welcome to attend!

Please note that due to the upcoming holidays, the January Executive Committee Meeting and General Membership Meeting have been moved to January 5 and January 8 respectively.

Professional Development

Two professional development seminars will occur immediately following the January and February Business meetings.

January 2009: Mike Manion will teach a class on effectively marketing yourself and your business at networking events.

February 2009: Tom Flynn will teach a class titled, "Organizing Your Financial Life"

Mt. Airy Phone Book

GMACC members receive a discount until December 31, 2008 when you purchase advertising space in the Mt. Airy Phone Book so make sure to sign up now.

The Mt. Airy Phone Book is a joint venture of the Greater Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Airy.

2009 Community Expo

The 2009 Community Expo will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Co's Activities Grounds. Don't forget to put the date on your calendar.
