2008 COMMUNITY EXPO

Make plans to attend the 2008 Community Expo on April 19, 2008. This will be an event the whole family will want to attend with plenty of food, prizes, shopping, and kids activities. A few things you won’t want to miss include: mouth watering food by Convenience Catering; a live remote radio broadcast by Key 103; a magic show; face painting and balloon sculpting; visits from Elmo, Clifford and Mickey Mouse; free blood pressure screening; free moon bounce and other kids activities; crab racing; dance, gymnastic and karate performances by local studios; the MedEvac helicopter is scheduled to appear; plus the best of Mt. Airy’s businesses.

In addition, parents can participate in Operation Kidsafe, a free child ID and safety program. This state of the art digital fingerprinting and photo equipment is quick and has no messy ink. Plus there are important safety tips parents can use right away to protect their child. The Chamber wants to thank Tim Barkley of Barkley Law Offices for sponsoring Operation Kidsafe’s attendance at the 2008 Expo.

CHAMBER PARTNERSHIPS

The Chamber continues to strengthen our partnerships with other business organizations throughout the local community. Our goal with these partnerships is to offer our members an ever greater return on their investment with the GMACC membership dues. The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce has agreed to extend a $100 discount to GMACC members who join their chamber. This benefit alone offsets more than 100% of our dues.

The South Carroll Business Association and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce also allow GMACC members to attend their events at no additional cost. These three partnerships become a powerful communication tool for any GMACC member. The GMACC is truly a gateway to various networking groups in the region and the logical first organization that a business owner should look to when trying to market their business.

CONNECTIONS/CELEBRATION
