BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE
Our February Business Card Exchange was held at F & M Bank and was very well attended with many new faces in attendance. We thank Billie
Wilkinson and her employees for a wonderful evening. The door prize of a
cleaning service from Freedom Carpet was won by Doug Howard of Business Development Group. The door prize of a gift basket from F & M
Bank was won by Carol Blackburn of The Gazette. Congratulations to
Doug and Carol!

BUSINESS FAIR
Our Business Fair will be held Saturday March 27 from
11am - 4pm at the Senior Center on Ridge Drive above the Mt. Airy Library.
The cost of a table at the fair is $75 for members and $100 for non-members.
There will also be three break-out rooms where presentations will be given. The
cost of the rooms will be between $25 and $50 and the presentations will be from
30 to 45 minutes.
Sponsorships can still be had: Gold sponsorships are $300, Silver sponsorships
are $150.
Carol Cahall, The Main Event, 301-829-4444 and Donnis Klein, Weekenders USA, 301-829-2928 are working very hard getting things together
for the event. Contact them if you wish to be a sponsor, have a table, give a
talk or demonstration or wish to help in any way. Only the help of all in the
Chamber will make our Business Fair a complete success.

DOOR PRIZES
We wish to remind ALL of our members that we would appreciate
any door prizes that you could give for the Business Fair. Audrey Stapf, of Stapf-Crafters Woodworking, 301-831-7339 and Gwen Hartman, BB&T Bank,
301-829-5625 are coordinating this and would appreciate hearing from you as to
what you can donate. This is a very important element of the Fair and will help
attract visitors to the event!
NEW CHAMBER BROCHURE
The new edition of the Chamber’s Membership Directory &
Application brochure is now available. If you would like some copies to give to
potential new members, please contact Membership Secretary Audrey Stapf or Keir
Knight of Plain English Writing & Design.
The brochure features contact details for all members plus a membership
application. The rear panel is devoted to the Business Fair with details
including the list of sponsors.
COMPUTER LAB
Todd Frager, from the Mt. Airy Elementary School PTA, spoke
at our February meeting to solicit support for the Kids Run For Computers.
Because the computer lab was eliminated last year, the students are
participating in a run to raise funds to purchase 25 new computers. The run will
be held on April 11 at the Mt. Airy Elementary School. For more information,

UPCOMING MEETINGS
The next Executive meeting will be held on Monday March 1st at 1pm at the Barkley Law Offices. All are welcome.
Our monthly meeting will be on Thursday March 4th at 8am, at the Fire
Hall, at Main Street and Watersville Road (enter at the rear/lower level).
BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE
Our next Networking event will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at the Brick Ridge Restaurant, on Route 27, north of Mt.Airy from 4-7pm.
This is a joint event between the Chamber of Commerce and The South Carroll
Business Association. The event is co-sponsored by The Law Office of Michael
D. Zimmer and Todd Bricken of the Brick Ridge Restaurant. If
