New Arrival Brings Chamber Membership to 104 and a Half!
Congratulations to Andrea and Andrew Williamson who have been blessed with a
healthy 8lb 5oz baby boy, born on June 11th. The name of the new lil'
chiropractor is Cole Andrew. Our very best wishes go to Mom, Dad and baby. We
hope to see you all soon!
JULY 1ST MEETING
Our meeting for July is scheduled for July 1st, 8am at the Mt.
Airy Fire Hall on Watersville Road and Main Street. You enter by the back
parking lot. On the agenda for the July meeting: An update on our Greater Mt.
Airy Business Directory Phone Book project (see next item); the ongoing
electricity deregulation situation; changes to our Chamber telephone service;
other activities for the summer and fall.
Our next Executive Committee meeting will be on June 28th at 1pm at Barkley Law
Office. As always, all members of the Chamber are invited to attend.
Please note there will be NO AUGUST MEETING. We will next gather on September 2nd.

BREAKFAST SEMINAR
On June 29th there will be a Mount Airy Sunrise Seminar for Small
Businesses, sponsored by the Mount Airy Downtown Business Association and Mount Airy Main Street Association.
The seminar will be held at the Fire Hall and is entitled ‘Every Business Can Be
A Destination: How to Achieve Excellence’. The seminar is given by Lester
"Casey" Wilson, Director of Training and Retail Industry Specialist for Maryland
Small Business Development Center.

ELECTRICITY MEETING
On June 30th there will be an Electric Deregulation Meeting at
the Senior Center from 3-5pm. This event is hosted by Carroll County Chamber of
Commerce.
You must be a member of the Greater Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce, the Taneytown
Chamber of Commerce or the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce to participate in

UPCOMING EVENTS
On September 13th a Cookout/Barbeque sponsored by Catonsville
Homes – location will be held at the Nottingham development.
In October a Business Card Exchange will be held at Pane n Vino.
In November a membership Drive/Business Card Exchange will be held at Century
Ford.
We are also planning some evening ‘Happy Hours" during the summer at local
eateries and you will hear more about this. We still want to keep in touch
during the times that we do not meet.
