Paul clay moved that minutes be approved, Bob Cage seconded. Motion passed.

Report from the Board

Shannon Zirkle has volunteered to be the official photographer for the Chamber.

Finance

Second quarter report was distributed

WAC

There will be a web committee meeting in July. It will be posted to the e-mail list. The use of the lists, and the bid for the contract will be discussed

Aaron sent an e-mail to the mtairynew list with a trivia question, and the winner received a $25 gift certificate to Ridgeville service center. If you don’t currently subscribe to this list, please sign up!

Ambassadors

Meeting after this meeting. If you would like to join the committee, please let Paul know.

Advertising

Ads for the card exchanges have been placed. A committee meeting will be held in Aug. Community book ads are placed as well – Carnival book. Carol is working on some planning for the 25th anniversary celebration/membership drive.

Membership

374 Members currently – we’re ahead of where we were last year, and on our way to 400!

Professional Development

There will be an Excel Level One two-part workshop on Monday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 24, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, in Room *152 at the Washington Road campus of Carroll Community College. Email and flier notices will be sent out a month prior to the workshop for members to sign up. There will again be a maximum number of students allowed in the workshop so look for the notices coming soon!

We are in the process of putting together two more workshops for the
fall---a Disaster Planning workshop with a panel format with experts
from the fields of insurance, business planning, investments, office
technology and document protection, and a Human Resources workshop on the subject of hiring and working with independent contractors and
employees. The Disaster Planning workshop will take place in October
and the Human Resources workshop in early November.
