Balance as of the end of Sept. is $29541.51.The Finance committee has presented two requests for funding to the executive committee, who agreed they both had merit. MAMSA asked for a planter on Main St dedicated to Mrs. Dion. They have requested $1000 for this. This is now being brought to the membership. Bob Brill moved that the Chamber put $1000 towards this request, seconded by Tim Barkley. Denny mentioned that the request had been endorsed by multiple members, including Keir Knight and Aaron Kahn (Aaron would like this clarified that he did not sign off on this request). Howard asked for clarification on who Mrs Dion was. Tim Barkley asked if the request was for $1000, or if the Chamber is offering $1000. The clarification is that the request was for $1000. Tim Slane asked who will be in charge of maintaining the planter – Frank Johnson answered that this is up to MAMSA. Keir said that the plaques are going to be in a central location, so the plaque won’t be on each planter. Jim Johnson called the question.
